ASPBAE and VAEFA in the GPE High-Level Partnership Reception to Strengthen Vietnam’s Human Capital.

“As we look to the future, I hope for a Viet Nam where every young person regardless of disability, gender, location, or background, has the opportunity to learn, develop their talents, and contribute to society. A future where technology drives inclusion, where education equips all learners with the skills needed for the jobs and challenges of tomorrow, and where no young person is left behind.”
– Trần Minh Tường

On 1 July 2026, Vietnam Association for Education for All (VAEFA)’s Youth Representative in the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) Youth Leaders, Trần Minh Tường, presented the Opening Reflection in the “GPE High-Level Partnership Reception- From Learning to Prosperity: Partnerships to Strengthen Viet Nam’s Human Capital,” held in Hanoi, Vietnam. Representatives from government, embassies, development partners, philanthropy, the private sector, academia, civil society, and young people gathered to exchange ideas on how to better equip every learner with the skills to thrive in a changing world.

Drawing on his experience as a deaf youth advocate for disability-inclusive education, Tường shared youth’s calls to action, identifying what efforts are needed to “create a more equitable education system that benefits not only Deaf learners, but all learners with disabilities,” enabling them to “participate more fully in education, pursue their aspirations, and contribute their talents and skills to society.”

ASPBAE’s Nguyen Thi Kim Anh, Regional Coordinator of the Training for Transformation Programme, was also among the panelists in the session on “Education Transformation: Skills, Innovation, and Partnerships for Viet Nam’s Future.” She offered the civil society insights in this event, where she highlighted that successful transformation relies on all partners sharing a good, common understanding of the context from the national to the local level through robust analysis of the education system across different levels from Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), basic education  to adult learning and education (ALE).

This way, partners can effectively complement each other and optimize the available resources.  She also noted that fostering new skills, innovation, digitalization, and systemic transformation requires substantial investment. Development partners can play a crucial role here by mobilising not just additional financial resources, but also technical expertise, best practices from other countries, as well as valuable lessons learned—including insights into what doesn’t work.

ASPBAE was also joined by its member, the Vietnam Association for Education for All (VAEFA), in this event.
