The Asian South Pacific Bureau of Adult Education (ASPBAE) is a regional association of over 200 member organizations across 30
countries. Established in 1964, ASPBAE is committed to building an Asia-South Pacific network dedicated to advancing equitable
access to relevant, quality and empowering education and learning opportunities for all people, especially the most marginalised.
ASPBAE works on various thematic issues on education and learning within the framework of gender justice and from a rights
perspective within the discourses on poverty eradication.
Three core strategies guide ASPBAEās work:
1) policy research and advocacy;
2) building strategic partnerships and collaborations; and
3) capacity-building and leadership development.
